Privacy Policy

Short version: there are no accounts, your files are processed on your own device, and the only tracking is Google Analytics.

Last updated: October 13, 2026

This policy explains what information SC Utility Hub ("we", "us") collects when you use https://scutilityhub.com (the "site"), how it is used and the choices you have. If you have a question that isn't answered here, email contact@scutilityhub.com.

1. What we don't collect

  • Your audio and image files. The converters and video maker run inside your browser using WebAssembly. Files you select are read and processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
  • Account details. The site has no sign-up or login, and no tool asks for your SoundCloud or Spotify password.
  • Payment details. Everything on the site is free.

2. What we do collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools people use, so we know what to improve. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location (city or country level), device type, browser and operating system. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors and we have not enabled Google Signals or advertising features.

Google processes this data under its own terms. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Like any web host, it receives technical data needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, browser user agent and the page requested. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if included) and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raised. We don't add you to any mailing list.

3. Requests your browser makes to other services

Some tools need data from third parties. These requests go straight from your browser to that service, not through us:

  • SoundCloud. Track, playlist and artwork lookups call SoundCloud's public oEmbed service and image servers. SoundCloud receives your IP address and the link you entered. See the SoundCloud Privacy Policy.
  • unpkg. The first time you use a converter, your browser downloads the FFmpeg engine (about 32 MB) from the unpkg.com content delivery network, which receives your IP address. Your browser caches it after that.
  • Embedded players. Pages that show a SoundCloud or Spotify player load it from that company, which may set its own cookies under its own policy.

4. Cookies and local storage

NameSet byPurposeExpires
_gaGoogle AnalyticsTells visits from different browsers apart2 years
_ga_<container-id>Google AnalyticsKeeps track of the current session2 years

Some tools may save settings in your browser's local storage so they are remembered next time. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The tools work the same with cookies blocked.

5. How long we keep data

  • Google Analytics event data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
  • Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your message, then deleted within 24 months.
  • Hosting logs are kept by Google according to Firebase's retention settings.

6. Sharing

We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. Data is shared only with the service providers named above (Google for analytics and hosting) or when required by law.

7. Where data is processed

We are based in Canada. Google may process analytics and hosting data in the United States and other countries where it operates, under its own safeguards for international transfers.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as Canada's PIPEDA, the EU and UK GDPR, and US state laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act give you the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
  • ask us to correct or delete it
  • object to or restrict how we use it
  • withdraw consent at any time
  • complain to your local data protection authority

Because we don't run accounts, the only personal information we can usually find is emails you have sent us. Analytics data is not linked to names or emails, so we generally can't match it to a request. To make a request, email contact@scutilityhub.com. We will reply within 30 days.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK) and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how data is collected, for example by adding advertising, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
